Celebrating our first birthday!

On Friday, we celebrated our very first birthday, a proud milestone for a company that’s grown quickly and achieved so much in just 12 months.

But this wasn’t just a party. It was a real reflection of what it means to be part of Llanw, a place where people feel connected, inspired and valued.

From the start, Llanw was built on the belief that we could do things differently. That we could deliver better services for our customers by building a culture where people enjoy coming to work, feel proud of what they do, and have opportunities to grow. That culture was on full display at our birthday event.

Colleagues gathered to reflect on what we’ve delivered this past year:

  • Over 26,000 responsive repairs carried out
  • A 90% customer satisfaction score (up from 60%)
  • 292 empty homes refurbished and turned around
  • Major progress on damp and mould work
  • Internal promotions, training, and a growing apprenticeship programme

It’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it. We celebrated the collaborative effort behind these achievements, including the vital contributions from our contractors, suppliers and partners.

One of the day’s highlights was hearing from rugby legend Sam Warburton, who talked openly about leadership, professionalism, setbacks, and what it takes to bring the best out of a team.

His reflections resonated with us, because at Llanw, leadership isn’t just about job titles. It’s about showing up, supporting each other, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

We also shared updates on internal promotions, plans to increase diversity, and upcoming training opportunities, from MCS solar certification to leadership development and technical training.

We’re serious about growing our people, and it shows, whether it’s encouraging apprentices, promoting women in construction, or supporting new career paths, Llanw is a place where you can develop.

And if you’re someone looking for a workplace where you can make a real impact, where your ideas matter, and where you’re supported to grow, maybe Llanw is the place for you. Here’s to year two!
